I suggest we have a post for each day of the war games. The post will start with an overview of the available equipment, cards and the position of our agents. To keep it simple each agent or group of agents could report their motives, suggestions, progress with current assignements etc.

So for turn 0, we have:

Blue Team: 20 gold, 50 shafts, 5 shields, 200 loaves bread
Cards:
Puny Fifth Column (2x1FC troops for city attack)
Axe Armory (2-6 axes)
Mob of Peasant Levies (6x1FC farmers in town we control, no movement, for 3 days or ownership of native town changes)
Crowd of Peasant Levies (4x1FC farmers in town we control, no movement, for 3 days or ownership of native town changes)
Levy Deserter (target levy card removed from play)
Bribery (target brigand, privateer or merc falls under our we control, cost for merc: 2GPxFC inc equipment)
Gang of Privateers (1-3x1FC secret troops)
Gang of Wolf Robbers (1-3x3FC rogue troops)
Privateer Spy (1FC unit, costing 1 GP/day)
Band of Wolf Robbers (4-6x3FC rogue troops)

Bribery (target brigand or privateer becomes a privateer we control, cost: 2GPxFC inc equipment)

Bribing brigands and privateers is free. Only bribing mercs costs money.

I'm currently in Ludlow, I think my goal though should be to take mines early on. I'm fine with starting on nodes and hopping from node to node.

We also have a lot of shafts, we should distribute one to each team member first thing and distribute shields to any group likely to be engaged.

only for blue eyes, only!!!

Turn 0-1 tactics

Formation of plans (please comment)

1) Dewaugh moves to ludlow-shrews mine and captures it
2) Pr0pheT and LB take Coventry (weapons and cards used)
3) Telcara and Iphy move towards Ludlow to meet eventually with Dewaugh and Killed
4) Arthur and Lynna start on eastern Stafford
5) Cards to be played: big Wolves group west of Stafford, puny fifth on town attack (maybe) and axe armory


Things to solve
1) Is lordrichy in Bham, what can he do with Uber to claim town?
2) Where do Lynna and Arthur attack?
3) Can they get some more people onboard as bait?
4) How do armies vs groups battles run?

According ot Red, they work just like normal combat. Typically it's an instant loss for the group due to size differentials, but not necessarily for us.

Well I am deacon of Birmingham and also a resident of course and Teh is the mayor so we should have an advantage, by the way Nick97 my brother that is on the red team is in Birmingham so we will need to get it fast.

I believe I told pretty clearly that Ifigeny and I had to start in Shrewsbury. There is no way we can start anywhere else. (we were outside the county and will arrive in Shrewsbury the 14th, start of the games, no time to travel anywhere else)

I have to stay in Shrewsbury to run as mayor, so I can't do any travelling, sorry. Ifigeny might however join another group.

have I pointed that you should not be in Shrews? Very Happy don't worry, we will do the best we can to accomodate this

My Thoughts:

1. I'm concerned about Shrews. If the army in Stafford uses it's cards to boost the size of it's army they could get wiped out first turn if they stay in Shrews.

2. If you're revolting you don't need to group, but should weigh the options. The positive for not grouping is deceit, particularly if they aren't certain you're a blue. The advantage to grouping is combining FC to be harder to kill.

3. We can only use 3 cards a day and have a lot of good ones, lets try and use them effectively. Also we can't forget that they too have cards and will likely sabotage our plans too.

4. I think we should either be going for a quick victory, or an entrenched guerrilla war. I think we can win either, but the strategies are very different and I'm not certain we've picked one or the other. The quick victory focuses on taking towns faster than they can reclaim them. The entrenched strategy involves taking lots of mines to build resources and win.
